For faster mobile commerce purposes, Visa has come up with a new digital swipe product enhancement for its online customers.
Visa Inc. has come up with a product innovation and enhancement as it rolls out a new interactive button for Visa Checkout. This digital swipe allows the online shoppers to complete their orders just by sliding on the screen. The company wants to not only enhance the user experience while online shopping but also wants to quicken the mobile commerce as well.
Users will be required to keep a virtual image of their credit, debit, or prepaid cards. On every online purchase, they will have to slide that virtual image on the screen of laptop, smartphone, or tablet to proceed to Checkout. The new and interactive yet dynamic button from the company brings an engaging way to finalize their order and pay through Visa Checkout. Visa has made the option available for users of laptops, tablets, and smartphones but more emphasis are on the mobile device users who comparatively have smaller screens.
The new button will contribute towards faster mobile commerce, which is on a rise these days. Visa previously launched the first Visa Checkout light box in 2014, which allowed the online shoppers to pay for their online purchases on any device they wanted. This process was carried out without being redirected from the seller’s page or the app. Hence the convenience level was increased while shopping online.
Now long gone are the days of light box and instead of it, users will be shown a picture of their credit, debit, prepaid cards on the checkout button for payment purposes. The process is quite simple as the consumer will have to swipe right and enter the password inside the button to authenticate the card, payment, and the order.
According to the financial institution, the new digital swipe product enhancement has been offered to the merchants all across the world selling goods and services online. This includes online music, movies, tickets, airline tickets, and the items that customers buy from online marketplaces to pick up from the stores. Visa has plans to further expand for those merchants who deal in shipping products in the near future.
Senior vice president of digital solutions at Visa, Sam Shrauger, said, “Visa Checkout’s new interactive button is yet another way we are designing the future of online checkout and delivering on our promise to bring the simplicity of the swipe to any device. This new experience brings digital payments one step closer to the ease, trust and familiarity that consumers have long valued from Visa in the physical world.”
